Thanksgiving was GREAT!

We had such a blast in Florida. Ronnie and I flew to Ft. Myers on our own and he did great on the plane. We read books and played with new toys. If any of you are flying and need a little help, I just discovered that you can ask for a "gate pass" for whomever is dropping you off. So, Rob got one and was able to walk us to the gate and spend a bit more time with us getting settled and getting Ronnie used to the idea of getting on a plane. It was really helpful.

I'll start by telling you what Ronnie did today, though. He pulled up his stool to the kitchen sink and started washing dishes! He loves it! Now if i'm in the kitchen he runs in saying "Ronnie do dishes!"

Rob flew out and arrived on Boca for Thanksgiving with his family and boy was Ronnie sure happy to see him! There was a lot of Philpotts there and then the Lawlers arrived for dinner with another 13, so there were about 60 of us for dinner! It was surprisingly great- food, seating and space and, of course, great company.

We had my Uncle Terry baptize Ronnie while we were there. I wasn't really interested in having that done, but Terry married us and is kind of our religious figure in the family, so it just seemed right. He got some holy water from a local church he goes to on the island and we did it before dinner. He liked it until we had to tip him over the sink!

He really loved riding in the golf cart and playing with his cousins. Plus all the extra ice cream, cookies and chips that were lying around... he was spoiled!

Here I am "beached" playing with Ronnie. We only got a few good beach days because it was a bit windy and cool. But, the pool was nice and I still came home with a tan!

Little Miss Claire had her 2 year birthday party at the beginning of the month and it was so much fun! She's so smart and funny and cute. Ronnie and she had such fun pushing her toys around and chasing each other.

Here's their civilized "kids table" for dinner. This little group lasted all of 5 minutes, maybe!

But, our little boy is very silly. He likes to wear shirts and underwear on his head and go around the house making funny faces. His vocabulary has exploded since we were in Florida with all the "big kids". He's speaking pretty much full sentences now. Also, he was standing to go pee pee in the potty at Florida, but hasn't done it now we're home. We'll see. He's still not interested in poo poo in the potty, but the doctor said he's advanced for his age as it is (did you expect anything less?!)

I'm feeling good, but each day is different. Some days i can't form full sentences and others i can barely get up off the couch. Today i feel good. I think this baby is coming before January 11th, but we'll see!

Baby boy #2 sure is lucky, though. He has such a great family he's coming into. We can't wait to meet him!
