HUGE Developments!!!

OK... Ronnie took three steps while we were in Phoenix last weekend!!! Now, the backstory:

Rob, Ronnie and I went to Phoenix (Scottsdale, to be exact) for Uncle Fred's wedding. We stayed at this amazing house with Aunt Barbara and Uncle Bruce, Aunt Shelly and Uncle Rick, Uncle George and Aunt Mary, Uncle Jeff, Aunt Anne, Great Grandma Bittner and Grandma and Grandpa Lawler and Cousin Jasmine. Plus, Cousins Leah, Rich, and their little girl Scarlet and Cousin Zoe were there too. Whew!!! It was so much fun!

Aunt Barbara is a pediatrician and had so many tips and great advice. The best, though, was to give Ronnie something to hold onto with both hands- like his sippy cup. So, he was standing and holding onto his cup and Rob and I scooted away from him and off he went! He took a few more steps this morning, but nothing too intentional or far. Soon enough!! Yeah, Ronnie!

Another major development: signing! He's been sighing up a storm! Water, eating, dirty, airplane and Daddy are the main ones. Now Mom and Dad have to work on learning more to teach him!! He's like a little sponge. We never realized how much we sigh until Ronnie starts to copy us. Usually it's in the car- he'll start sighing over and over again. It's super cute.

Today is Ronnie's ultrasound to check the fluid level on his kidney. So, we'll see... I'll keep everyone posted.

It was a relaxing trip, though. He did great on the airplane. No more nursing! I'm feeling great about it- back to my old self. I think it's probably easier to get him off the boob now rather than when he's 2 years old or something, when he can talk. Now I just say, "All gone. No more" and he's on to something else.

We just got back from storytime at the library. It's this cooky older guy who plays the banjo and sings songs and reads 2 books for the kids. Ronnie's not so sure he likes it yet, but he's warming up.

I love the picture of Jasmine in the hot tub. She loves the water! OK.. more pics, less talking!! xoxo
