Our Little Boy

Things our little boy loves:

*Trucks. There's construction across the street and he loves standing on the sofa watching the trucks fill up with dirt and then drive off. He's also a big fan of buses and points to them when we're at the park.

*Balls. He's just discovered balls, not his own, as most of you remember the "ball grabbing incident". Now he's into putting the ball in his wagon and taking it out again. He has a football and a baseball and loves to roll them all over the house and chase after them. See video below.

Ronnie also loves to point out all the airplanes. He hears one and then points up. It's pretty amazing how quick he's learning. I know it's just how it's done, but I'm still completely dumbfounded! We walked to Ronnie's friend Maisie's house the other day and just hung out in the grass. She was laughing and giggling and crawling all over her mommy. I noticed that her mommy, Stephanie, had the same look about her as I do with Ronnie. That complete amazement for how special they are and how much they are changing so quickly.

Other things that Grandma taught Ronnie when she was here: "Pee Yew"! Now when you say that he puts one finger to his nose. It's pretty cute.

He loves to give kisses! This is pretty much what a Ronnie kiss looks like! Get ready girls... he's all tongue! You have to remind him, "only kisses, Ronnie... no biting!" He likes to bite!

Last night was the first time he ate food from our plates! We had a beef roast braised in red wine and vegetables, potatoes and some sauteed zucchini with mint and he ate everything! It felt really good giving him that food. He's also started some wheat germ and had his first bite of pork! Mmmm.. pork...

Sleeping has gotten better. He goes down for his first nap at 9am and his second around 1pm. He's up at 6:30am every day still and down for bed at 8pm. It's a pretty good schedule, we think.
