Happy Birthday, Ronnie!!!

(I posted this the night before. Ronnie's birthday is September 24!!)


Ronnie is 1 year old tomorrow!! We can't believe how quickly the year has gone. He's so amazing and smart and big and active and healthy... we're so proud of him.

We had a small birthday party for him on Monday with some of his little friends and neighbors. We wanted to keep it small in case he wasn't feeling well. He did great. He ate his birthday cake (even though he doesn't like it... I promise next year he'll get the chocolate frosting kind, but still homemade!) and opened presents and played with his friends. He wasn't into the birthday hat so much, but that's okay. He loved the balloons!

He got the coolest books, toys and outfits from Grandma's, Grandpa's and Nana's. He loved them! Aunt Jenny and Uncle Bruce got him a cool bike! It doesn't have pedals so he can use it in the house! He hasn't quite figured it out yet, but we know he'll love it. He's a very lucky boy to have such a great family.

He's sleeping through the night again, which is great. He's getting a molar!!! I can't believe I didn't start the blog with that news! Yep.. during one of his crying moments I spied a little "crown" coming in. They're supposed to be really painful to cut, so we're glad he's been taking tylenol and motrin anyways. Good lord, child! What's next?!

I think he's nearly 100% feeling better since the surgery. He is a bit sore still, but he's down to once or twice a day doses of tylenol/motrin. He's able to lay on his back instead of his side. He needs a bath! We've only been able to sponge bathe him, which means sitting in an inch or so of water in the tub. His hair is crazy curly and just greasy! Little stinker!!

He has his 1 year doctor's visit tomorrow so we'll give more stats then. Here's more pics. xoxoxoxo
