A Week of Firsts...

Well, just to keep you scanners from reading ahead, Ronnie is not walking yet! He has had an exciting week, though. Here's the run-down:

First Cold. I'm not blaming anyone, but Rob had the cold first, then Ronnie and then me. Last Saturday we woke up at 3:30 with a baby who had a 101 degree fever and that was not fun. We popped in some baby tylenol, gave him a cool washcloth and he was out again. So much for cutting back on the nursing! I knew that would help him get better quicker so i've been nursing him more. Today he's still got a snotty nose, but we're giving some euculyptus rubs and he's feeling much better. There were just a few days where he needed to be held all the time. He must have been achey or something.

First Roll Off The Bed. Yep! I closed my eyes for a split second and he rolled right off. Fortunately it was just to his belly. It scared him, but no major injuries.

First Taste of Cat Food. Yeaah. Well, at least we don't use the cheapest brand on the market! I was guessing that he's telling us he wants a bit more crunch in his food. So, I've started him on rice cakes and rice crispy cereal- the hippy kind of course! I wish i could post this video... he knows he's not supposed to touch the kibble, but he just can't help himself! He'll sit in front of Meatball's water and food bowls and shake his head no and wave his finger no and then he dives right in! He just can't help himself.

We went to the pool today with Ronnie's friend Parker and his parents. It was a blast! Sadly, i didn't bring the camera. I will say, though, it's much harder getting Ronnie to sit still for photos anymore. Rob got this good one, though, of the two boys at play in the kitchen. Ronnie definately has more hair than any of his little friends. Maisie has a lot of hair, but it's not so curley.

I can't believe it's already August! Grandma Lux comes at the end of the month and we can't wait!!
