All is Right With the World

Hello all... Well, Ronnie is officially an angel sent from Heaven! He's back to sleeping through the night and will even put himself down to sleep. Rob had the brilliant idea- via Janet at The Truffle- to feed him at night and then put him in his crib to go to sleep at his usual time (around 9pm). Well, he lays there and coos and talks and chatters for about five or ten minutes then it's suck, suck, suck on the thumb and then it's light's out! He's asleep!! There used to be crying and fussy time with us holding him and trying to soothe him for about 30 minutes or more, but now it seems to be a lot easier for all of us!

We're all doing well. Rob is getting used to his new schedule- Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off! And I'm getting used to working again. Monday I thought I was coming down with the flu- lots of body aches, so tired and could hardly think. So, i slept about 13 hours and woke up on Tuesday feeling great! I think it was partly fighting off a cold and partly from closing the restaurant both Friday and Saturday nights and getting home around 1am. I'm not a big napper, so i think I'll have to change that if i want to stay healthy. The Truffle is staying busy even though January is historically one of the slower months. We're gaining more cheese of the month customers, which helps with sales.

Ronnie had an appointment with a homeopathic doctor on Monday. She weighed him in at 15 pounds!!! We saw her just to round out his medical care with something more natural and holistic. He sees his usual pediatrician on the 30th, so we'll get more stats then. He's got such sensitive skin- lots of bumps and rashes. He's also been sucking hickey's on his thumb- still the left one only. He's a south-paw like his mommy!

Well, I hear the little man waking up from his first nap of the day. We got a whole 30 minutes in! Love you all... Ronnie and Karin
