Ronnie had such a great time at his first Christmas. He got a couple of rattles, some books and new outfits, which was wonderful, but he really enjoyed looking at the lights and all the extra attention from grandma Lux being here. We went to Bruce, Jenny and Claire's house on Christmas day for dinner and drinks. Their tree was so beautiful. Bruce made a beef roast and Jenny and I sat around feeding the babies most of the night. Little Claire and Ronnie are so cute together. He notices her and likes to look at her as long as his mommy isn't holding her! Of course, he is partial to pretty girls! Here she is in her second Christmas outfit of the night.
Grandma Lux's visit was way too short this trip. She babysat two days on her own: one day while I worked at The Truffle and another when Rob and I went out for fancy dinner at Barolo Restaurant for a fabulous 3 hour tasting menu! That was nice! I think we'll be doing date night now every month- Auntie Ionah is dying to babysit!

Ronnie's new accomplishments: he is drooling (and spitting up!) like crazy (if that's an accomplishment!), he can pull himself up if we hold his hands from sitting to standing, he can hold on to rattles and put them in his mouth, he is still sleeping through the night and he is cooing and talking a lot. We have yet to hear the "baby giggle" that I've been looking so forward to. I'll definitely have that on video when it happens. He's laughing and smiling but, alas, no giggle. Also, check out Claire's blog for more baby Christmas magic!
