Well, I'm not going to lie... i really didn't want a baby shower. I was thinking that I already have so many clothes, we've got the crib and changing table and a lot of other "stuff". So, when the people at my work started to organize a "shower" I was nervous. But, it turned out to be so great!

We combined the restaurant's annual farm picnic with a low-key baby shower. The farmer, Anne Cure, and her husband Paul, are due the same week as me, so we combined our celebrations and it was so much fun. I got a lot of books, a very cute teddy bear, all the bedding we'll need (hopefully!) and the bumbo positioner seat we registered for! Also, Bruce and Jenny got us a Bronco's sweats outfit and a "hooter hider" for when I'm breastfeeding!
All in all, it was a great day and a good way to celebrate the baby without a lot of games and nonsense!
I've been feeling pretty good still. The baby seems to be running out of room, though! Its little feet and hands and arms are flailing all over the place and stick straight out of my belly! It's quite weird.

Rob is doing great. I think we've hired someone at the cheese shop, so that takes a bit of stress off of him for when the baby comes. I think they're starting the baby pool at the restaurant already for when Baby Lawler is coming! The earliest date I've heard is September 15th, so we'll see!!! Rob said he'd be happy for a baby on his birthday!
We've got the bag packed for the hospital, the copies of the birth plan and necessary hospital information ready in an organized binder and the house was pretty much cleaned this weekend! So, hopefully this little bundle of joy will come sooner than later! We'll keep everyone posted...
Love xoxo
