Well, the last few nights have been a bit sleepless, but still blissful! Ronnie seems to enjoy his new house and family. We've been doing a lot of eating, sleeping, pooping and a bit of crying. But, overall, he's pretty content to just hang out and cuddle.
Rob went to his karate class tonight, so it's just me and the little guy. He's fed, I'm fed and all is well. Rob and I are mostly just staring at him! When I take a picture, it just doesn't do him justice! He smells so good, too, that I think there's just certain things you can't capture on film!
The visiting nurse came yesterday to check up on him. She said he needed at least 4 poopie diapers a day or we should call her. Well, this kid really knows how to do his homework! I think he had 4 in one hour! Maybe it's all the dried fruit and fruit juice I'm ingesting! Momma needs to "stay loose" if you know what I mean!
Rob has been cooking up a storm, plus Bruce and Jenny brought by a honey baked ham, and enough food for the week! Speaking of food... holy hooters! My boobs are so big!! I'm tempted to put on a sexy dress, but I know none of them would fit and I really know that there's nothing sexy going on for me for awhile!!! But, it's been interesting watching how my body is changing!
We took our first walk around the block today and he loved the stroller ride! This neighborhood has really bumpy flagstone for sidewalks, so we were concerned what he would do. But, he fell right to sleep, which is great! Too bad it's so chilly at night, otherwise we'd take him for walks at 4 in the morning!
Well, my mom comes out next week and that will be great! I have a massage scheduled, we'll go to the doctor and get some birth announcements out in the mail so everyone can get a picture.Thank you so much for all the calls and comments about our bundle of joy! This baby is so blessed to have such a great family and so many wonderful friends. Rob and I sit and stare at him and smile and look at each other and can't believe how fortunate we are to have such a miracle in our lives. We owe a lot of all this happiness to everyone out there!!
Love, Karin
